Based in Netanya, Israel, Jettable is an early stage start-up that
has developed a revolutionary technology to enable digital printing
of inorganic pigments onto ceramic surfaces. The company was
founded in 2003 and is now commercializing its products.
Jettable's technology has many advantages over current methods
for decorating ceramics and glass, the foremost being that the
printhead does not contact the item being printed.
Other advantages are new style possibilities, reduction of waste,
faster set-up times, savings in screens and rollers and
environmental friendliness.
Jettable's mission is to provide a new generation of inks to the
ceramics and glass industries. Our vision is that pigment
companies and tile and ceramic producers will have available their
full range of glazes and pigments for use in decorative inkjet,
increasing the range of decorating possibilities by an order of
magnitude. As new high performance ceramic surfaces become
available to the construction industry, we will meet the new
decoration needs.
There is little inkjet decoration taking place based on the standard
ceramic pigments. Ceramic tile designers will have a new range
of colors and fashion options to choose. Totally new markets,
such as decorated outdoor building cladding (ventilated facades)
will be created.
